So, I created my first little macOS app by just telling some LLMs what I want to do. It’s far from perfect, but it works. Took me about 15-20 hours, and I used all my premium messages for Cursor, but it was worth it. Also it’s fun to talk to a “developer” that doesn’t get grumpy, and I liked the explanations for changes. The responses often felt human, especially when hitting problems.

Okay, my working machine is quite old but it seems to have come to life the past years we spent together. It wakes from sleep when I entered the room a minute ago. Spooky. What’s next?

In general, computer people love computers — so when computer people tell you “don’t use computers for that”, or “don’t use these computers for that”, you really ought to listen.
