Just move the Office apps to the trash. If you have something like Hazel watching your trash, it will find most of the related files. It only missed some weirdly named folders in ~/Library/Group Containers/, but Microsoft has a document describing how to find them.

I hate these ads and therefor the software. I assume there's a large enough group of switchers from Windows, who learned to be afraid (and probably rightly so), so the first things they install on a new Mac are anti virus scanners and crap like MacKeeper.

Somebody actually developed nearly exactly the timer I created a concept for: It’s called TimeBar and is wonderfully simple. Perfect.

Aleh Cherp from Macademic explains why he switched back from Alfred to LaunchBar. I had the exact same three reasons. Especially instant send and selecting music are too annoying/slow with Alfred if you’re used to LaunchBar’s speed.

I’m still tempted to try Alfred nearly every day, because the workflow community seems more active. Maybe I find a way to use both side by side without interference.

But … first I need Mavericks on my work machine.
